History of the Bahrain Grand Prix

The first Bahrain Grand Prix was held in 2004 and was the first Formula One race in the Middle East.
Since then it has become a fixture on the F1 calendar, known for its high speed, technical corners and exciting strategies.

Bahrain International Circuit

The Bahrain International Circuit is 5.412 km long and contains 15 corners. It is known for long straights and
technical sections that test both the speed and agility of the cars.

The event takes place under artificial lights, making it a very spectacular race on the calendar.

The Bahrain International Circuit is located in Sakhir, approximately 30 km south of Manama, the capital of Bahrain. Visitors can reach the circuit via:

  • Car or taxi (approximately 30 minutes drive from Manama);
  • Shuttle buses running from the city to the circuit;
  • International flights via Bahrain International Airport, followed by a short drive to the circuit.
