Circuit de Monaco
With 19 corners and hardly any straights, the Circuit de Monaco is one of the slowest but most technically challenging circuits on the F1 calendar.
Famous sections include the tight hairpin bend (Fairmont Hairpin), the fast tunnel under the Fairmont Hotel and the chicane at the exit of the tunnel leading to the harbour.
The circuit has minimal run-off areas with barriers right next to the track, leaving no room for error. The narrow streets make overtaking almost impossible, making qualifying and strategy crucial.
The circuit will take approximately six weeks to build, with the city gradually being transformed into a race track with the installation of crash barriers, grandstands and other facilities.
